The Breed - Mathers House 60th

Spreading the 60s Goodness

The Breed were at Mather’s House on Friday 21st October to round off the various events organised by the Hobart City Council as part of Seniors Week. This was a ticketed event and was sold out in advance. A big thanks to everyone who came along. It was a fun atmosphere, with people up and dancing from the first song, and a great end to the week.

R.I.P. Allan Knight

It is with deepest sadness The Breed wish to inform everyone that Allan passed away on Friday the 10th of June 2022. Allan was an active and influential member of The Breed camp. The majority of the songs on the Breed’s recent albums were co-written by Allan and Wayne (the band’s frontman). The Breed pass on their condolences to Allan’s wife Debbie and the rest of his family. Allan will be greatly missed.

Wayne stated that he will always treasure his friendship with Allan, the conversations we had, his sense of humour, the songs we wrote together and the music we created. He said that there are number of new songs that he was working on with Allan that were never fully completed. These will hopefully appear on a future Breed release and his legacy with the Breed will continue.

The Breed at The Hellenic Hall

On 12th December 2021, the Breed played at the Hobart City Mission Volunteer’s Christmas Function that was held at the Hellenic Hall in North Hobart. Thanks to everyone who came along, and congratulations to the winners of the Twist Competition. It was a great afternoon happening just before our borders opened and the subsequent reintroduction of various restrictions. Depending on what happens maybe you’ll see us at one of our Gigs in 2022. For those that weren’t there, here’s a small video grab. Stay calm and keep on dancing.
